Presenting Anne Baynham at Fingers Gallery! I missed the Monday night opening show, but popped into town yesterday to see her work, and had a chat to the lady at the gallery too, Anne has already sold two pieces, which I think is pretty darn impressive for her first show in these trying times. It’s really nice to see how her pieces have evolved from her first exhibition for uni, although still humorous and novel, something about the bird’s feet lends a vaguely threatening air and contrasts with the cute floral fabrics. The best parts are the details, like the scalloped edges, and the work in the feet, creepily life-like!
Unfortunately I turned up with a flat battery in my camera, so I grabbed the pics below from the fingers website, and for shots of her necklace’s check out my good friend Jess’s great blog, the little look see.
